Level of Membership
To strengthen the overall sector of the country and to take all key players on board Yemen Microfinance Network offers three types of membership, defined as per following: -
Regular Members:
Regular members are those retail microfinance institutions, which fulfills the membership criteria;
Regular members have full members rights with voting powers and will be eligible for the membership of General Assembly of the network and subsequently can participate in the governance of the Network
Observing Members:
Those retail microfinance institutions, which currently are unable to meet all the requirements of regular membership but have the potential to fulfill these and become a regular member will be associate with the network as ‘observing members’ to build their capacity and prepare a tier of potential regular members;
Observing members will not have the voting power and will not be able to participate in the general assembly and governance of the network;
To demonstrate the commitment to become regular members, observing members will be required to fulfill all reporting and disclosure requirements of the network;
Observing members will be eligible to benefit from ONLY from training services of the network and participate in the Network organized events;
Fee charged for the services provided to the observing members will be higher than the rate charged to regular members;
Associate Members:
Support institutions, which are not involved into retail microfinance but are committed to the sector and are into the business of providing technical and other assistance to the MFIs and their current and perspective clients;
Associate members will be have the voting power and will not be able to participate in the general assembly and governance of the network:
Associate members will be eligible to benefit from the services of the network by paying on full rates for such services;
Associate members will not be eligible for certain closed user group services only available to the regular members;
